• Una VozI coordinated and ran all the AV for Una Voz Arts Festival – good times

  • Ngöbe MountainsDay trip up to see the new YWAM property on the Ngöbe Buglé Reservation. It was utterly breathtaking

  • Panama VidaI love this place

My apologies at taking so long to write to you all, I’ve been busier than I’ve been in my whole life! Outreach was one of the most incredible experiences of my life! God moved in a powerful way through my entire team including me. We saw miracles, healing, salvations and so much more all along with the media projects that we could do. I can honestly and truthfully say that I’m not the same as I was six months ago. God has completely turned my life around and I can honestly say I’ve never been happier in my life! He took me from a place of struggling to walk with Him every day to a place where I feel so much joy in living every day just confident in who He created me to be. A lot has happened since the last time I wrote to you all so let me bring you up to date.

While in Panama, my team went out numerous times into the community and just served the people there. One time we went out and picked up trash in the streets and everyone was just asking us “Why are you doing this?” giving us a chance to explain that God loved them and we wanted to show them that. Other times included prayer walks where we would just go out into the streets of Panama city and just find people and pray for them (or walk around with a guitar and do the same thing in my case). Another thing we got to do is go into the casinos and talk to some of the prostitutes there and just share the love of God with them. I had several amazing conversations (in my broken spanglish) with girls who really shared their heart and I got to pray for a few girls for protection and got to tell the whole story of Jacob in the Bible to another girl because she had a son back home called Jacob and she’d never heard the story before. When they realised I was genuinely interested in them as a person rather than the manufactured sweetheart every other guy wanted their eyes just lit up and their whole countenance changed. It was such a blessing!

We had several media assignments that we completed while there and a few projects that fell through for a number of reasons. The projects we did finish however are going to be a huge blessing to the ministries for whom we produced the videos for years to come. We made a promo video for the justice focused festival: Una Voz it is both a wrap up video for this year’s festival but the aim next year is to have a large event of over 10,000 people. I ran the AV for the whole festival and have been invited back next year too! Have a look at what we did!

Another project we worked on was a promotional video for the Surf and Skate DTS and that video will be up soon. This video will hopefully inspire hundreds if not thousands of young men and women to come and give God six months of their life with a Skating and Surfing focus.

We went up to a brand new YWAM Base up in David, Chiriqui for a week and were asked to do some media stuff for them but the plan got changed slightly when they asked us if we could paint a world map on the wall for them. Two of my girls took on the challenge JoJo and Sammi and they actually used my hands as the guide for the hands. Here’s the finished product and the setting. Its on the wall in the main dining hall and will be there for years to come. The base director there was extremely impressed with what we did. Below are a few photos of it.

  • My HandsMy hands immortalised onto the wall at YWAM Chiriqui

We also had the opportunity to lead worship at a local youth group at David, Chiriqui and they asked me if I could play guitar and keys. Was an amazing time and I got to lead the band. Heres a few shots of it.

I got to play keys during the whole message – so relaxing

  • Youth Group 2Was so much fun playing with these guys!

  • Youth Group 3

It felt like I was at home

Another major event that happened while on outreach was the healing conference put on by one of the local churches with a team from Bethel church in Redding CA. It was an amazing weekend. We saw God do many miracles healing not only physically but emotionally too. Feel free to message me if you’d like details on those stories. It was such a blessing seeing my team so full of joy and encountering God. Something I prayed for all of them before we went on outreach was that they wouldn’t come back the same and that prayer was definitely answered. For the few weeks after the conference, all my team wanted to do was just go out on the streets and love on people, had some amazing conversations with people and I even got to spend some time in the foreign affairs building and worship and pray there for the government. I was asked to leave after a short time and when I asked why I was told it was because the President was there and for security reasons, I must go. Was such a blessing to be able to pray for the nation just as the president arrived!

Me and the team had a few restful days to end our time in Panama and reflect on how we had grown together and what we’d seen God do and arrived back in Kona with amazing stories of what we’d seen and done. Such a blessing to be able to share and encourage the other teams and to be encouraged and amazed by their stories too.

What am I up to at the moment?? After six days off I’m currently staffing the Voice for the Voiceless DTS, again in Hawaii. I’ll let you know outreach locations as soon as they’re finalised. I have 43 students and they’re all just amazing young men and women! The main thing I’ve been impressed by is how committed they are to the school. I’m REALLY looking forward to getting to know them much better over the following months. God’s already been doing amazing things! We’ve seen God heal four of them physically. One of them was in the hospital and couldn’t move her neck at all and now has had full movement for over a week. The other couldn’t twist her neck the whole way around for over 4 years and now can twist her head the full way and the other had a noticeable bend in her back and it’s now straight.

The one that stands out though is one of my students April who had fibromyalgia for almost 10 years and was instantly and miraculously healed during worship a week ago. She was sitting in the worship time in pain and asking God to take it away if it would bring Him the glory and she felt Jesus say “Stand up and walk over to your husband” and as she got out of her wheelchair the pain just evaporated from a constant 7-8 level pain and dropped to a level 1 pain which she described as “only because i’ve been sitting for so long!” She was unable to move easily due to her constant severe pain and now she’s walking everywhere without her wheelchair or walking stick and she’s able to dance and jump and is now working on getting fit after so long without being able to walk or move properly. If you want to ask me more about that I’d be happy to talk with you but suffice to say God is moving powerfully and we’re going to bring all this to outreach and see Him do even more!

Lastly I’d like to thank all of you who are supporting me both financially and in prayer. Your gifts and prayers have resulted in literally thousands of lives who have been impacted by God’s love through the work that I am doing. Your prayers have kept me safe and effective in my leadership, I’ve gained skill playing guitar and writing songs and I’m seeing a real release in my calling as a worship leader. I’m SO excited for this next season of my life and everything that the future holds for me. If you want to receive notifications that I have a new post up via email please send me an email at peter@peterdrummond.net and I’d be happy to add you to my mailing list.
